A pioneer computer programmer who wrote his first program in 1978, he is the founder and president of Funeral Industry Consultants, Inc., which began in 1987 to market custom software for the funeral industry and statistical research on the industry. Recognized as a leader by many of his peers in the profession, his publications were widely read and used daily until he stopped publishing The Statistics Book - Florida in 2013..The 2012 Edition was the last one published because the State of Florida went to the Electronic Death Registration System and firms were no longer required to submit the monthly reports from which the data was compiled. The software he developed provided simple, common sense ways to manage the day-to-day operation of funeral homes, direct disposer establishments, crematories, cemeteries, and allied funeral suppliers. This company was closed permanently on 09/30/2018.  Mr Hagin's hands began to trimble making it difficult to program or work on computers, from a condition known as Benign Essential Tremors.

Through all the years though, at heart he is just a home town “undertaker” who has been willing to undertake the necessary tasks of laying to rest those who have died among us. He is ready and willing to go that extra mile to make sure your loved one is properly cared for with dignity, honor, and respect. At the same time he helps empower families to find creative and innovative ways to celebrate and remember the lives of their loved ones, while getting on with their own lives.
