Pre-Arrangement Information

There are two major advantages of pre-arrangement. First, the “lock-in” at today's market price, and second, the securing of one’s affairs so that others are not burdened financially or emotionally at the time of need.

1. Pre-purchase your arrangements and file the contract with your will.
2. Inform others who your arrangements are with.

Remember, read all contracts. Know what you are signing. Know your cancellation rights.

We offer the following tips when shopping for cremation or funeral pre-arrangements.

Begin by deciding what you want and how much you want to spend. Select a few providers to call. Request informational materials be sent to you, review them and make appointments to visit those providers that you have selected. Remember, a consumer must be given a price list before the discussion of any services. Don’t feel pressured to “sign up” on the spot. When you have interviewed each of the selected cremation providers, compare them. Did you feel each provider was up front and honest about price? Did they provide simple, concise and straightforward answers to ALL of your questions? Always remember: You should be in control and lead discussions. If you feel uneasy or uncomfortable, choose another firm.
