I have known Sammy for over 30+ years. We met through mutual friends while working at Bellevue Hospital. Before long, we became more than friends and shared so many good times together. We had lentil soup for lunch every Wednesday with Tabasco sauce.

Sam and Bill are part of my family. When they moved to Florida, we continued our friendship in Florida. Sammy held a special place in our hearts and was there when we nursed my brother Frank through a terrible illness. Now they are together and heaven has gained another Angel. We will miss you Sammy.

We are sorry to never know Sam even though we were in nursing school at the same time. Bill, if you recall you and Joe were classmates. We moan your loss of a dear person who was very important in your life. After graduation, Joe went into Army basic training & we lost touch with many of our class. Sorry to reconnect under such sad circumstances.

Words can't express how much Sam will be missed. He was a friend, confidant and a dependent person in our lives.
Personally, I will always have love filled memories of his laugh, smile, big open heart and attitude...I miss our telephone calls, long walks discussing life and gut aching laughs. Thank you for teaching me so much and helping me become the person I am.
You and Bill are loved very much even though we are far.
Heaven received a huge angel. I will still talk to you even if people on the street may look at me like I am crazy... :)
Heartbroken...
