Daisy Naomi Lawrence

Daisy Naomi Lawrence, 96, of Sunrise, FL, passed away on January 1, 2019.

Daisy Naomi Lawrence was born on the island nation of Barbados to Norman and Alice Lawrence on October 5, 1922.She was one of 14 children. She was educated as a teacher in Barbados. She moved to Trinidad in her early twenties, where she started and raised her family. She arrived in New York, December 19, 1969. She worked at several jobs over the years. She eventually retired to Florida in 2001, with her daughter Cynthia’s help. She was involved in the Salvation Army’s Home League program most of her life (women’s fellowship). Daisy was a devout 7th day Adventist and Ambassador member, and attended services there since she moved from New York.

Daisy Naomi Lawrence is preceded in death by her parents, Several of her siblings, and one of her daughters,Carol Lawrence.

Daisy Naomi Lawrence is survived by her sisters Elma Rochester and Beryl Springer of Barbados, her children Sydney Lawrence, Barbara Baquedo, Cynthia Hathaway, Alma Fraser, Victor Lawrence and Norma Lawrence Chase.(See back of program for more family).

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2018 at the Ambassador SDA Church with Pastor Valtricts Binns, officiating. Ambassador SDA Church, 3245 W Oakland Park Blvd, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33311.
