Georgina (Toro) Perez

On Thursday June 6th, 2019, Georgina Perez, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to countless hearts passed away at the age of 84. She is survived and deeply missed by countless friends and family.

If Georgina was passionate about one thing it would have been her family. She was a true matriarch, and earned her title of “Mama” with her boundless compassion. She believed it was her calling to take on the role of Mama for every soul that entered her life. None who loved her can remember a time where their stomachs or hearts were empty so long as she had something to say about it.

She raised more than just her children; she raised her children’s children, her neighbor’s children and the friends of those children. Georgina took on the duty of providing a mother’s care to the world around her regardless of age, distance or relation.

Even now, she is still our Mama. Though we can no longer have her in our arms, we still have her memory in our hearts. Even now, she still comforts us.

At your saddest moment, in your darkest of times, remember Mama. Let her warm your heart, and know that there is an angel in gods ear right now, whispering her unending love and care for you.
