Albert Winoker, 93 of Lauderhill, Florida passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 of natural causes.
Al, a native New Yorker, was raised on the Lower East Side and later lived in the Bronx. He served as a bombardier for the Army Air Forces in WW II and rose to the rank of First Lieutenant. He was also a graduate of City College of New York.
Al raised his family in Queens and was in the home furnishings industry.
Blessed with good health, he enjoyed an active 30 year retirement in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area. He loved to play tennis and bridge, dance, read the New York Times and Wall Street Journal daily and travel the world. Last but not least he was a diehard fan of the New York Football Giants.
Al is survived by his children, Patrice Farber and Larry Winoker and four grandchildren.
