Beloved brother, Godfather, Uncle and amazing friend, Alexander “Sandy” Nininger Weygant, entered the gates of heaven on May 26th, 2015.
Born May 31st, 1948 he was a life-long resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Being an avid hunter, salt and fresh-water fisherman, he was most content and happy camping, cooking, hunting, or fishing with his many loyal friends who called him “Gator.” He especially loved the Everglades, Lake Okeechobee, and watching the sun set.
He had a huge and generous heart that was always willing to help others even if it was his last dime. His immense devotion to those he loved and to his country was deep-seeded in his soul. He proudly served a tour in Vietnam with the United States Army, but it did take its toll.
Having an incredible sense of humor, quick wit, and fun-loving spirit he was always the center of every gathering. His legacy will live on through the many incredible (and humorous) stories of his life. His absence has taken a piece from the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by:
John Weygant: Fairfax, VA: Brother:
Elizabeth Weygant Michel: Fairfax, VA: Sister
Capt. Curtis Michel, USN: Fairfax, VA: Brother-in-Law
Bethany Michel, Veteran USN: Atlanta, GA: Niece
Brittany Michel: Atlanta, GA: Niece
Countless steadfast and loving friends.
