Ana Sylvia Ferreira - our mother, sister, aunt, grand-mother and great-grandmother - was a beautiful and mighty person, with a great sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. 

She lived her life with nothing but joy, enthusiasm, hard-work, determination and with an unbending love for all that makes life truly worth living - family, God, song and dance, festivity, laughter, duty and the aspiration for better things. 

Indeed, it is because of her that so many of her family have been able to have a much better life - a debt we happily pay to our future and to our loved ones. 

She - the classy, beautiful and wise matriarch of our family - forever lives in our hearts and in the eternal home of God.

Ana Sylvia Ferreira, nuestra madre, hermana, tía, abuela y bisabuela, era una persona hermosa y poderosa, con un gran sentido del humor y una sonrisa que podía iluminar una habitación.

 Vivió su vida con nada más que alegría, entusiasmo, trabajo duro, determinación y con un amor inquebrantable por todo lo que hace que la vida realmente valga la pena: la familia, Dios, el canto y el baile, la fiesta, la risa, el deber y la aspiración a cosas mejores. 

De hecho, es gracias a ella que tantos miembros de su familia han podido tener una vida mucho mejor, una deuda que felizmente pagamos con nuestro futuro y con nuestros seres queridos. 

Ella, la elegante, hermosa y sabia matriarca de nuestra familia, vive para siempre en nuestros corazones y en el hogar eterno de Dios.
