It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, Audrina Nicole Muniz, on October 13, 2024. Born on August 25, 2008, Audrina came into this world as a bouncing baby, filling the hearts of all who knew her with joy and light from the very beginning.
A vibrant and kind soul, Audrina was full of life, creativity, and sense of humor that provided all who knew her with comedic relief even in the darkest of times. She had a deep love for music, art, writing, and anime, with Hello Kitty and Bridgerton holding special place in her heart. Recently, she discovered her passion for writing and left behind beautiful stories for us to cherish forever.
Born in Ohio, she moved with her family to Florida ten years ago. In Florida, she expanded her circle of family and friends, enriching the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She discovered a love and talent for soccer and played as a child, enjoying the competitiveness and the thrill of the game and the bonds it fostered. A bright and diligent student, she excelled in school, consistently earning good grades and making her family proud even in the most challenging seasons of their life.
As a daughter Audrina made her parents very proud. Her mother instilled within her a fight that was graceful and dedicated, and she exemplified this through her short life. Her mother took her on trips and most recently to a concert for one of her favorite bands and allowed her to experience incredible and beautiful things, expanding her horizon to appreciate various cultures, ultimately influencing her deep admiration for Japanese culture. Audrina also always looked forward to exciting summers with her dad back in Ohio where she was able to spend time with family and friends, family was very important to her.
As a younger sister, she looked up to her older sister with loving admiration, she also embraced the role of becoming a “big sister” herself with enthusiasm and care, always extending a helping hand with her baby sister and being her little brother’s favorite video game partner and friend.
Those who knew Audrina will remember her as someone who was considerate beyond her years. Though she was just a young girl, she possessed an uncanny ability to offer comfort to those she loved. Her presence was a source of warmth and solace, and her gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
On October 13, Audrina passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love. Though she was taken from us far too soon, her legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
Audrina leaves behind parents: mother-Cecilia (Christopher), father- Geraldo, siblings Miguela, Christopher Omar, and Leilani, grandparents (Bruny and Domingo), uncles and aunts, a host of cousins, friends, and her best friend Anastasia who never left her side or her heart. Audrina is preceded in death by her Great-grandmother Carmen who she shared a special and very close bond with.
We will miss her laughter, her generous heart, and her bright, shining spirit. Though we mourn her absence, we find comfort in God, and in the memories she has left behind and in knowing that she is now at peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alex’s Lemonade Stand for childhood cancer in memory of Audrina.
