Beth Siegler Obituary

Siegler, Beth Jo, 64, of Margate, Florida, died Monday, February 16, 2015.

She is survived by her daughter Jodi Siegler as well as her fiancée Ryan Marsh of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Brother Glenn Siegler, his wife Wendy Siegler, niece Sara Siegler, Nephew Mathew Siegler of Cleveland Ohio, and her Grandson Ari Siegler of Cleveland Ohio. Predeceased by parents Alex, Betty, and Shane Siegler her son.

It’s a sad day when we must say goodbye to a loved one especially as unexpected of loss as this one was. Beth lived a full life although it was cut short, she may not have lived a perfect life but she did the best she could. Prior to her passing she made two huge accomplishments, the first, she had just received her nine year medallion from her sponsor Jan for being clean and sober. Her second accomplishment was accepting and mending her relationship with her daughter. You became such an inspiration to so many in your journey through AA and the outpouring of love from your friends is so overwhelming.

I am at a loss for words when we last spoke on Saturday, Valentine’s Day you were the happiest I had heard you in months. You just received 9 years clean and I am eternally grateful that Shari Niven and Ryan Marsh were there with me as witness to this accomplishment. We didn’t talk for a long time I forgave you long ago but never forgot what I went through as a child and as an adult. However in the last 4 years we became closer than ever. This past year was the roughest as far as your health but mom you never gave up. You broke an ankle and stayed strong you broke the other due to physical therapy and you still remained hopeful. Ryan and I will never forget our last conversation with you, all the joy and happiness in your words, love you kidos see you soon. I thank Pam your nurse your friend for making your last day so amazing for you, with flowers, chocolates, and a pedicure. I’m glad you had the opportunity to know Ryan and except him into our family also knowing I found the one. I’m not sure what happened Sunday morning/afternoon but nobody deserves to leave this earth in the manner in which you were found. Today you are no longer in pain from your past or present. You sleep with the angels now and I know you are with my brother, nanny, and papa forever looking over me and the others you left behind. Thankful for Saturday’s conversation forever etched in my heart. I don’t know why our higher power took you from me so early after all we have been through when finally I had the mother I always yearned for. You will not see me begin my new life with Ryan as husband and wife and this crushes me. I’ll no longer hear your laugh or be able to call you when I need mommy. Thank you for the strength and courage you passed on to me, Mom I love you so much and I’m so sorry.

Missing our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and friend we will remember and love you always for your spirit lives on.
