Brian Alan Marker died on July 4th -his favorite holiday -at age 54 from complications of diabetes and heart complications with his faithful companion - his Doberman Marco at his side. Brian enjoyed sailing and boating throughout his life and had always loved Dobermans.
He was the son of Ralph and Gloria Marker. He grew up in Wauwatosa , Wisconsin and graduated from Tosa East high school .
When younger he sailed across Lake Michigan in his 30 foot Columbia sailboat to Michigan, scuba dived in the lake, loved horse back riding and crewed on a cruise ship in the Caribbean . He started a boating group called Greater Milwaukee Maritime Association -where he arranged local events in the community.
He loved pizza and was a good cook. The family loved his spaghetti and meatball dinners .
He ran many businesses- installing LED lighting, security systems ,driving limos and recently getting his boat ready for charter cruises. He loved being on any water - watching dolphins and July 4th fireworks with family. He loved being a tour guide for visiting family in Ft Lauderdale.
He is survived by a sister , brother and family members around the country. .A memorial service is planned for the future.
In his honor, the family asks that any donations be directed to Paw Patrol rescue the direct link below. Brian's dog was rescued and sent over to Paw Patrol and will be adopted out to a suitable pet parent. in Ft Lauderdale Florida- where he had lived for the last 20 years.
