Carol Claghorn Obituary

Carol Ann Claghorn
November 11th, 1947 to October 7th, 2019.

Carol lived until October 7th, 2019 at 7:50 am. She checked into heaven at 8:15 am that morning and let us know that she got in alright, as she always does with us. Her furry friend/dog Gypsy has been waiting. She is survived by Corie Claghorn-Wood (daughter), Michael Wood (son in law), Scott Claghorn (son), Elizabeth Wood (granddaughter), Killian Claghorn (grandson) and Tanner Claghorn (grandson). Carol's beloved parents are Dee Edward Worrell (father) and Evelyn Alice Worrell-Faust (mother).

Carol was born in Niles, OH as a single child and was able to see the world in a military upbringing at a young age. Her father is her hero/pilot and her mother/influence was a proud example to live up too and succeeded. Carol's relationship with her parents changed the world for not just their untouchable connection, but for everyone that was blessed within any interaction within them together and also individually. Carol graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and used math everyday in almost every-way. She was accomplished in anything she found important and made time for others before herself. STRENGTH!!!

Carol's forever adages were:  If you are going to do anything, do it Well! Can't never did anything! If you just came out of the oven, you would be hot too. Don't ever put sewing or knitting equipment in your back pocket (lesson learned once:0). If you don't like what is for dinner, the next meal is breakfast (she always followed through with that). Sit and stand up straight, show you carry pride. If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. The opposite of Love is not hate, it is indifference!

Carol's favorite things:  Flying a plane or anything about flying and flight, mustang convertibles, ANIMALS!  FLOWERS! ART: Paris, Monet, and anything french, MUSIC! (Neil Diamond, band music, marching band, classical, blues and the Beatles), BIRDS (humming, flamingos and anything with wings), HAND WRITTEN SENTIMENTS, HELPING OTHERS, every and everything else about cross-stitching, knitting or threads, needles and yarn.

Carol's dislikes:  Ostriches and Ever having to say goodbye to the ones she loves, even for a short time. (so many of those she has).

Carol's favorite dishes:  Sour cream pork chops (which could be smelled with joy, miles away), all food made with love and/or great company to share, meatloaf as good hot as better the next day on a sandwich, once or twice a year, pate' on crackers or again a sandwich w/ onions. An outing, randomly with special guests every week:0)

Carol was a special type of private person in her own way, that made you, a better person to earn her respect, trust and love! Once you achieved that with her, forever eternal.

A special appreciation to her Guardian Angel-Carole, her life long friend Graci, The best neighbor Annette, The Flamingo Freedom Band, So many close friends all over the states now that we consider family, and her tremendous knitting circle in so many states (especially her in Ft. Lauderdale crew over so many years).

Carol Claghorn will always be forever in our hearts, honored, appreciated and remembered. She had a hard time accepting a compliment, being our mother, friend and protector. Carol Ann Clagorn sends us on her day:  Au Revoir, Je T'aime!
