Doreen Mary (Lepot) Gardner

Doreen Mary Gardner, age 88, a cherished mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, in Plantation, Florida. Born on February 4, 1936, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Doreen devoted her life to the care and well-being of others, both professionally and personally.

Doreen's career as a nurse spanned an impressive 45 years, with over 25 years of service at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Her commitment to nursing was matched by her passion for volunteer work, where she tirelessly contributed to her community, embodying a spirit of compassion and selflessness.

Beyond her professional life, Doreen was an avid reader, a gourmet cook, and found joy in gardening. These hobbies reflected her love for learning, creativity, and nurturing life, whether through the pages of a book, the meals she prepared, or the gardens she tended.

Doreen was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Shirley d'Allmen and Carole Delaney, with whom she shared a close bond. She is survived by her son, Bob Gardner, and her cherished grandchildren, Alex and Lisa Gardner, who were the light of her life. Her family and friends will remember her as a loving and generous soul, whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Doreen's legacy of care and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and the profound difference one person can make in the lives of others. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family is planning a celebration of life for Doreen in 2025.  Details to be conveyed at a later date.
