Emily Nichole Schmitt

Emily Nichole Schmitt, 27, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2021. She was born in Springfield, Missouri on August 22, 1994.

Precious daughter of Peter and Jodie Schmitt; beloved sister to Danielle Schmitt, Zachary Schmitt and Connor Schmitt; loving mother to Layla Noelle Inman; cherished granddaughter and niece.

Emily grew up in Fort Mill, South Carolina and attended college at the University of South Carolina and Arizona State University, studying art and medical compliance.

Emily was light and love, bringing others joy throughout her short life. She was so proud to be a parent and fought valiantly to be the mother her daughter deserved. Lost to us too young, she is forever the beautiful young woman inside and out, filled with hope and determination for her future, and unafraid to love completely. Her sudden passing leaves a circle of family and friends in deep grief and pain but with cherished memories of her many gifts. She lives on in her daughter’s laughter and in the hearts of many.

Emily was a woman of faith, and we are consoled to know that she is healed and whole with her Redeemer, a special guardian angel to Layla, a shining star that sparkles among the heavens.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church: 292 Munn Road, Fort Mill SC 29715, on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10 a.m.
