Gerald King David

Gerald King David, 61, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida has crossed into Enteral Life peacefully at the home he shared with his partner Beverly Freeman, on August 8, 2022. Gerald was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 2, 1960, to Gerald King David Senior and Sherry Jacklyn David. He attended Hollywood Hills High School.

Gerald worked in sales at Pepsi and Coca Cola for the majority of his working years and enjoyed being around his family, friends and his dogs. Gerald David is survived by Beverly Freeman along with his children Chelsea, Taylor and Tanner David. His beloved grandchildren Devin, Tanner Jr, Mckenna, and Murphy. Also his sister Roxanna Collins, mother Sherry Bowers, step-mother Cathy David, nieces Danielle Johnson and Jessica McCrary and his sweet and loyal dog Oreo.

Gerald was a big man with a big heart. He was a master in the kitchen who loved to share his creations and welcomed all praise (he the man). Gerald always lived in the moment, he didn’t stray far from home, loved his family (man up Jr.), loved his dogs and loved to joke around. Gerald was unforgettable and was always a big presence.

“Make some thunder, make ‘em wonder how you got in. Hide your beer, hide your clear from the man upstairs. Crank it loud, hold it down ‘til we get there. And when we do, we hope you got some new stories to tell. ‘til then… give heaven some hell”.

He was predeceased by his father Gerald King David, Aunt Javanna, his grandparents Gerald and Sue David and his dogs Jack and Frankie.

“Our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance.” Gerald will be greatly missed and will live forever in our hearts.

Memorial donations may be made in Gerald’s name to the Humane Society of Broward County.
