Grace (Gracita) Fabius, 91, of Coral Springs, Florida passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at VITAS Healthcare, University Medical Center, Tamarac, Florida.
Grace was born in the Dominican Republic to Seymour Lamarque and Jeannie (Volel) Lamarque. In 1945 she married Jean Fabius and she was a loving and dedicated mother to the 8 children they had together. She was especially known for her strength of character, great moral values, her faith in God and her kindness and generosity to others.
Grace was a school teacher and after coming to the United States worked in the fashion industry as a Pattern and Sample Maker in New York, Florida and Haiti.
She is survived by her loving family members: Her children : Lionel Fabius and his wife Jacqueline, Michelle Fabius, Margaret (Fabius) Delaquis and her husband Harry, Elisabeth Fabius and Pierre Richard Coupet, Jean Fabius and his wife Régine, Rachel Fabius and Dominique (Fabius) Sanchez and her husband Michael. Her brothers and sisters: Janet Lamarque wife of her (deceased) brother Joseph Lamarque, Denise Lamarque wife of her (deceased) brother Victor Lamarque, her sister Clotilde Kénel-Pierre wife of (deceased) Kenel Pierre, her sister Jeannie Menos wife of (deceased) Odilon, and her sister Simone Montpoint wife of (deceased) Rene. Her brothers and sisters in law: Claude and Mireille Fabius, Jacques and Monique Fabius, Zoulette Fabius wife of deceased of Gérard Fabius, Robert Tippenhauer husband of (deceased) Jocelyne (Fabius) Tippenhauer, Her grandchildren and great grandchildren : Gabriel and Jonathan Fabius, Annick, Nicolas and Jean-Paul Rouzier, Pascale and Gaëlle Delaquis, Alex and Michael Burkowsky, Anaise, Manuel and Ariel Fabius, Jennifer and Julianne Sanchez,Yanah Cantave Delaquis. Her many extended relatives from the following families: Fabius, Lamarque, Delaquis, Grant, Molina, Topps, Sanchez, Rouzier, Tesserot, Celcis, Kénel – Pierre, Menos, Montpoint, Volel, Fils-Aime, Tippenhauer, Florville, Rigaud, Celestin, Lemoine and Pressoir.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Mrs. Fabius on Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 9550 NW 29th Street, Coral Springs, Florida 33065, at 1:00 PM.
