James P "Jimmy" Daniels

James P. “Jimmy” Daniels, 47, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beloved son and my best friend, James passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

James is survived by his father: Julian Daniels; his mother: Joyce Daniels; step-mother: Anne Daniels, and a host of loving uncles, aunts, nephews and a long list of loving friends.

He was born at Broward General Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Florida on August 3, 1968. At age 15, he went to Skipperville, Alabama, where he attended George W. Long High School. He excelled in many sports and made many life long friends. They have established The James P. Daniels Scholarship Fund in his memory.

His employer and co-workers at D.B. Trucking were at his side throughout his illness and beyond.

Despite our plans for Jimmy, God had others. A heroic young man, Jimmy touched the lives of all who crossed his path. We shall never forget the smile, the laughter, and the sincerity of this extraordinary young man.

We love you Jimmy and are better people for having known you.

There will be a Viewing and Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale, 301 East Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301 on Friday, August 5, 2016 starting at 12:00 Noon, with The Reverend Brian Webb officiating.
