Judaea Star LaCroix Harrell was born July 30, 1993 in San Francisco, California to the proud parents Mark Harrell and Gail LaCroix Harrell. Gail extended her faith and prayed to God for a miracle to have a child. Judaea was born prematurely weighing 1 pound and 13 ounces, she was their miracle child, their only child, their pride and joy.
Judaea had a happy and active childhood as she played soccer, studied guitar, received etiquette training, and learned to read the Holy Bible scriptures with her mother at an early age. Judaea loved baking delectable deserts and once started her own cookie business. She learned her culinary skills from her mother who was a professional chef.
Judaea enjoyed working with children. She didn't mind babysitting for family and friends. Judaea was home schooled. She took online classes from Nation High School where she graduated and received her high school diploma. After the devastating passing of her mother, Judaea was determined to further her education so that she could live independently.
Judaea studied and graduated as a medical assistant from Laurus Technical Institute. Shortly after, Judaea attended The Job Corps in Brunswick, Georgia to further develop her professional skills. She continued her studies by enrolling in the advanced training program at Transportation Communications Union/International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers TCU/IAM. Judaea held various jobs position. She was a medical assistant, a manager at a gourmet shop and a security screener at the airport.
Judaea loved animals. She owned several pets which included a pair of love birds. Judaea was a movie cinema buff. She enjoyed watching The Fast and Furious movie series with her dad. Judaea was raised in Riverdale, Georgia and she lived in West Palm Beach. She had a love for traveling with her friends. Judaea had a big heart. She was always willing to help family and friends. Judea accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age. Judaea joined World Changers Church International in 1996. She served in the Outreach Street Team Ministry right along with her parents. She was her mom’s favorite helper.
Judea was preceded in death by her mom Gail LaCroix Harrell and her maternal great-grandmother Madeleine Toussaint- LaCroix. Judaea leaves to cherish her precious memories to her father Mark Harrell (Kimberlie Ferrand), her devoted grandmother Carol LaCroix, a loving sister/cousin Shala Billings (Herschel), step-brother Christopher Fant, a loyal best friend Asner Nicole, nieces/cousins Hannah Billings, Haley Billings, and Hadley Billings and a host of family and friends
