Larry Arnold Eddins, born July 30, 1958 in Houston, TX, departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ernest and Louise Eddins, his maternal grandparents Thomas and Pauline Howe, paternal Uncle Harold Eddins, and beloved mother, Barbara Jean Howe Eddins, whose love of Christ instilled in all her children a deep faith in God and Christ's promise of eternal life.
Larry was a longtime resident of Florida, moving there in 1987, where he enjoyed his time shared with his brother, Jimmy, and most recently, his work in the Keys. He is survived by his daughters Shannon and Ailsa; his father, Joe and stepmother Susan; brothers, Danny and Jimmy, and sister, Brenda. Their families also mourn Larry's passing, Danny's wife Marisa, children Danny, Jr. and Sandy; Jimmy's wife Yolanda, children Josh and Jeremy; Brenda's husband Jim, children Charlie, Katie, and Grace. Family includes Aunts and Uncles Joyce and Virgil Turner; Tollie and Tommy Howe; Shirley and Buddy Schroeder; Debbi and Tommy Atkinson; along with many cousins, extended family, and friends.
Larry was an avid ocean lover as well as musician whose career included diving, work as a deep-sea fishing captain and guide, and studio musician. His spare time was also filled with writing poetry and creating saltwater aquariums He generously showed his love towards those in need by sharing all he had and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He recently rededicated his life to Christ and enjoyed the faith and fellowship at Christ Church UMC in Fort Lauderdale, FL, near his residence with dear friends Corinne Playso and her son Craig and family. Their kindness and friendship to Larry was a tremendous blessing especially in his most recent illness.
