Manuel Sagastume Obituary

Manuel Antonio Sagastume, known affectionately by all as “Tony”, was born on May 4th, 1976 in  Haverhill Massachusetts. Tony is the beloved son of Gloria Rivera and Byron Sagastume and step-son  of Eddie Rivera. Peacefully, on Thursday morning, June 3rd 2021, Tony went home to be with his Lord  and Savior Jesus Christ.

Electricity was in his blood and from an early age Tony pursued his passion, graduating from  Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1995, with a degree in Electrical Technology.  He turned his dream into a thriving business and was the founder and owner of SB Power Electric  along with his loving wife of 18 years, Claribel Sagastume. Their love affair began in Tony’s hometown of Haverhill Massachusetts. True to his  dream as  a  self  made  businessman,  Tony  went  to  the  bank  where  Claribel  worked  to  make  a deposit, but little did he  know he would end up making the biggest withdrawal of his life, a loving wife, devoted mother and business partner. The two fell in love and began an amazing journey together. They moved to Florida,  built their business and raised a family.

Beyond their love for each other, they both fell in love with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and  their most rewarding labor together was ministering to the homeless, serving as youth pastors, and  creating Reformed Nation, an online teaching platform to share the Gospel. Even through their most  difficult and challenging times they held onto their faith.

To know Tony, is to hear him say two things, “Yoooooooooo Kid” and “I Love My Wife”, and indeed he did. Tony had a deep and adoring love for his beloved Claribel that was unparalleled. The  two of them were inseparable. There was nothing that Tony enjoyed more than throwing her birthday  parties, taking her shopping, art walks and their weekly Friday night dates. They also enjoyed going to  Home Depot, doing estimates together and taking their two hour lunch breaks. Their love for each  other was unusual.

Tony is the devoted father to Patrick, Nathanael and Elijah and his greatest joy was spending time with  his sons. They enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling and traveling. Tony also took his responsibility as a spiritual leader very seriously, raising his sons in the house of God, teaching them to be disciples, and  leading by example. He would always tell them to “put God first in all that you do”. Tony, AKA  “Electric Manny”, enjoyed teaching them the trade, so that one day they could continue his legacy.  Unfortunately, that day came too soon and unexpectedly.

Tony is the Son-in-law to Agustin and Francisca Rodriguez and Margarita Herrera. He is brother to Mario Sagastume, Cindy Steiber, Javier Laureano, Marissa Rivera, Alex Hernandez, Krissy Ronk, Rosa Sagastume, Norma Sagastume, Adam Cruz, Joseph Cruz and Natasha Difo. Brother-in-law to Marilyn Sagastume, Kristin Laureano, Craig Stieber, Brenda Hernandez, Alana Cruz, Johrman Difo, Lidiana Rodriguez, Wayne Ronk, Magdiel Rodriguez, Johanna. Johnson, Marylou Contreras and Jose  Vanegas. He will be missed by many of his aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Also, by many friends that became family.

Service will be held Thursday June 17, 2021 from 6:00-8:00. The Pentecostals of Cooper City 5201 S Flamingo Rd Cooper City, FL 33330
