Michael Cathell Obituary
Michael Christopher Cathell, 54, was born to Patsy and Kenneth Cathell on December 31,(New Year's Eve) 1959. Husband of his faithful wife Laurie, and Loving son Nicholas, brother Pat and extended family and friends. Chris died in his beautiful home on Tuesday, April 22.
He attended Stranahan HIgh School and also the Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute. A conscientious and hard worker as an elevator mechanic for 30 years, Chris was a man of extraordinary talent which was shown in his creativity on canvas and murals and in wood crafting. His love for music, photography, fishing and mountain biking kept him grounded.
As an avid reader and skilled surfer, Chris blended well his artistic and intellectual pursuits with his love of the Ocean and comfort in Nature. On EARTH DAY, Chris left this Planet and found his way to his Eternal Rest. We who loved him shall miss him. Chris, you are now at PEACE.
There will be a beach ceremony/paddle out in the near future.
