Raymonde (Baroni) Schiffke

Raymonde Schiffke, 92, formerly of New York City, passed away on January 15, 2020, in Delray Beach, Florida.

At her request, she has been cremated. Her ashes will be scattered on the ocean.

Raymonde was born in Melun, France to Jacques Baroni and Marie Asselin on April 25, 1927. She grew up in nearby Milly-la-Forêt, where she was affectionately known as “Pépée” to friends and family. After coming to the United States in the early 1950’s, she married and raised a family. She was known as a great cook and even worked as a chef and hostess in a professional capacity in New York.

Raymonde is survived by husband Henry, son Paul and his wife Nilda, son Peter, brother Jacques and sister Jacqueline, grandsons Rafael and Joshua, granddaughters Isabella and Scarlett, and a host of other family and friends.

She will be sorely missed.
