Reinaldo Joseph "Papo" Hernandez

Reinaldo Joseph Hernandez, affectionately known as Papo of Miramar, FL was born on June 12, 1949 to mother Lenora Gonzalez and father Reinaldo Hernandez. Papo passed on peacefully to rest with our Lord and Savior on May 25, 2024 at 5:02am. He is survived by his daughter Christina Hernandez, grandchildren DeVon and Justin Gordon, and sister Lorraine Tobon. Reinaldo was of Puerto Rican descent, born and raised in New York, New York. 

Papo was devoted to his catholic faith and loved to serve God. Through his faith, he was given the strength, courage and wisdom to endure his battle with cancer. Through it all, Papo was an avid musician and enjoyed Salsa/Latin Jazz. Music was his therapy and he loved to play his timbales for everyone to hear. Papo lived an active life and loved to cook, laugh, watch sports and play basketball. He passed down his special hook shot to his grandchildren. Papo will be missed and his spirit will live on as he’s resting in eternal peace.
