Richard Farrell, 76, passed away in the early morning on July 16th, 2020.
He lived a full and colorful life. He was born in Bronx, NY and moved to Hallandale, FL in the late 1940s. He grew up in the Hallandale/Hollywood area and, ultimately, called Fort Lauderdale his home. He served in the Air Force in the 1960s. He was involved with the offshore powerboat racing community in the 1970s and was active in the local Ft. Lauderdale jazz community throughout his life. He later became a real estate appraiser.
He is survived by his four children: his daughter Cindy Farrell, his son Richard Farrell (deceased 2000), his daughter Falon Farrell, his son Brance Farrell, and his six grandchildren: Dylan Sisk, Cody Sisk, McLayne Sisk, Savannah Sisk, Brance Farrell, and Liam Sams.
His wishes were to be cremated.
Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, we are unable to have a service at this time. The family may entertain a celebration of life sometime in the near future, once current pandemic guidelines relax.
