Samuel Bernard Sampson, 73, of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Northwest Medical Center, Margate, Florida.
Mr. Sampson was born in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel and Mabel (Carnilia) Sampson, Sr.
He spent his career in Banking and Collections. He lived in New Jersey most of his life and spent a number of years living back and forth between New Jersey and Florida. Once retired, he settled in Coconut Creek Florida. Sam loved the water, [boating] he was very handy, [Sam-I-am, the fix it man] and he enjoyed good food! Friends and family will surely miss him.
He is survived by two daughters: Valerie (Salvatore) Gumina, Coral Springs, FL and Donna (John) Gunich, Hazlet, NJ; two sons: Michael Sampson, Gray, TN and Russell Sampson, Ft. Myers, FL; one sister: Lee Hubinger, Wayne, NJ; five grand daughters: Elizabeth and Victoria Gumina, Coral Springs; Samanthan and Jessica Gunich, Hazlet, NJ; and Jennifer (Kris) Markyl, Gray, TN; one grandson: Neil Sampson, Gray, TN; two great grand-daughters: Aubryn and Abagail Markl, Gray, TN; two neices: Denise Shaw, Parsippany, NJ and Dionne Visvardis, Wayne, NJ; and three nephews: Joseph Hubinger, West Milford, NJ, Edward Hubinger, Wayne, NJ, and David Brown, Pennsylvania.
A celebration of life ceremony is planned for Wednesday, July 2, 2014 - 12:00 pm at Calvary Chapel of Ft. Lauderdale - 2101 W. Cypress Creek Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. [Not the main entrance. Enter at the 2101 entrance, and park near the church offices.] All guests are invited to attend a luncheon reception which will be held immediately following the service.
