Sung Kyo Hipple , also known as “The Irishman”, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 26, 2019 in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL at the age of 47.
Sung is survived by his mother Bobbi Everhart of Centerville, OH; brothers Bruce (Jennifer) Everhart of Waynesville, OH, Joseph (Lisa) Hipple of Pickerington, OH, and Brett Everhart of Xenia, OH; sisters Laura (Jim) Fish of Myrtle Beach, SC, Missy (Steve) Thornhill of Centerville, OH, and Tonya Everhart of Kettering, OH; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Willard “Bud” Everhart and sister-in-law Sheila Everhart.
Sung was born on October 20, 1971 in Seoul, South Korea. He was adopted by Bobbi and Charles Hipple in 1975. He grew up in Xenia and Beavercreek and graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1991.
Sung was an accomplished cook and was employed as an executive chef at Bokamper’s Sports Bar & Grill in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was a loyal friend, a dedicated worker, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Sung loved visiting his large family in Ohio, spending time with his many friends, and watching sports.
A memorial service is scheduled for July 6, 2019 with a visitation from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, service follows that at South Dayton Baptist Church at 2351 Rand Ave, Moraine, OH 45439, with a reception to follow. Pastor Steve Thornhill will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sung’s life.
