Thomas Francis Schauseil Obituary

Thomas Francis Schauseil, 86, of Miramar, Florida, passed peacefully on July 15, 2014.


He was the youngest and last of 10 children born to Mary and Albert Schauseil in Rochester, New York.


Thomas served as a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy Coast Guard. After WWII, he settled in Miami, where he worked at Caribbean Radio before Motorola hired him to supervise electrical systems on Navy ships and U.S. government installations around the U.S. He was a brilliant, modest man who never cursed and was known by all as a first class host who loved Florida.


He is survived by his beloved wife Willyne; children Roxanne Bollmann and Phillip Mains; grandchildren Sara, Eric and Lisa Marie; great grandson Dylan; sister-in-law Deta Reynolds and local nieces Kelly, Robin, Christine (Julio), Yvonne (Steve), nephew Richard and numerous nephews and nieces across the U.S. 


A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 701 North Hiatus Road, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026, Monday, July 21, 2014 - 10:30 AM. 


Interment will be in South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33467, Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 11:15 AM.
