Wayne Donald Bobby

WAYNE DONALD BOBBY of N. Lauderdale, Fl, formerly of Wilton Manors, Fl, passed away on May 7, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.

Wayne was born June 18, 1958 in Perth Amboy, NJ to Walter & Audrey Bobby. He graduated from Madison Township High School and Florida International University. Upon graduation, he worked in the restaurant industry
for many years until he launched a new career in the fitness industry. Wayne became a Personal Fitness Trainer/Instructor in NYC where he built a large clientele before moving to Wilton Manors, Fl in 2004. He continued his Personal Training career in Florida until he retired in 2012.

Even though it was too short, Wayne lived a full and happy life. He enjoyed over 30 years of love and happiness with his wonderful partner Joe Santarelli Sr., before his passing in 2013. Wayne loved traveling, theater, movies and so much more. His interests were diverse, from Madonna to Zombies and everything in between. As an avid animal lover, Wayne’s dogs were always a big part of his life, he adored them. Even though it had only been a short while, Homey, his new rescue dog, jumped right into Wayne’s life and heart. 

Family and friends were very important and always came first for Wayne. He loved spending time with them both in the NY/NJ area and in FL. And when it came it entertaining, Wayne was the ultimate host. He always made sure you were comfortable, felt at home and everything you liked was stocked in the house.

Wayne is survived by his father, Walter W Bobby Sr of Melbourne Beach, FL, his brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Sharon Bobby of Abingdon, MD and his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Lauren Bobby of Margate, FL.
He is predeceased by his mother, Audrey Bobby and his loving partner Joseph Santarelli Sr. He is survived by Joseph’s children, Joseph, Christopher and Melissa, along with nine grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held aboard The Mary B III, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on June 18, 2016 with a lunch reception to follow immediately after.
