Mr. Hastings was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Herman Edward and Madalene Lucille Hastings.

He spent his career in Engineering.

He is survived by: two daughters: Shana Hastings, Yardley, PA and Farrah Hastings, Levittown, PA; four sisters: Lenore McQuiggan, Ocean City, MD, Carolyn Muscianese, New York, Linda Dominguez, Boca Raton, FL, and Sharon Bliss, San Francisco, CA, and one brother: Lenny Eisele, Pennsylvania.
